CSN Lab’s annual alternative education program, the School of Complex Past, returns with a new thematic focus: s/election/s.
Electoral processes bring into focus key questions about democracy: what do they reveal, who is represented, who is “chosen,” and who remains at the margins? Examining the construction of political reality through a multidisciplinary lens, the School of Complex Past 2026 aims to redefine the boundaries of representation and the political.
By bringing together perspectives from the humanities, cultural studies, media analysis, and conspiracy theory research, the school explores how political processes shape public perceptions, discourse, narratives, and, ultimately, decision-making.
The three-day intensive school will offer:
- Thematic lectures and discussions
- Workshops
- Open-mic format discussions
The language of the school is Armenian.
The School of Complex Past 2026 is implemented by the Cultural and Social Narratives Laboratory (CSN Lab) with the support of the New Democracy Fund (NDF), the Women's Fund Armenia (WFA), and the Marion Dönhoff Foundation.
